Research Project Management
From project start up, to hand over of a validated data file, MG
Data Services can support all aspects of quantitative research. We bring
to the table years of experience in postal surveys to the general public
or specific groups, employee satisfaction surveys, fieldwork face-to-face
surveys both on paper and on laptop computer and telephone surveys.

Questionnaire Design consultancy
With over a decade of experience in research, we can offer the client
our knowledge of questionnaire design including the overall 'flow' of
the sections, individual question wording, formatting and layout.

Questionnaire Data Punching
The data punching would be carried out in SPSS. This would
involve the setting up of the data entry file (including range checks
and skip rules), training the data punchers and checking batches of questionnaires
to ensure accuracy levels are maintained.

SPSS Data File Validation
The SPSS data file is then fully labelled with both variable and
value labels matched, where possible, to the original questionnaire. The
file is then subjected to rigorous validation checks including inter
and intra variable checks.

Fieldwork Interviewer training
For face-to-face interviewing MG Data Services offer industry standard
2 day training sessions including:
- The role of a fieldwork interviewer
- Confidentiality
- Market Research Society's code of conduct
- Interviewing rules & quality control
- Door step technique
- Health and safety training
- Refusal aversion training.

Laptop / CAPI training for fieldworkers
MG Data Services offer a flexible training program for fieldwork
interviewers new to CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing). The
training would include:
- Familiarization with the laptop
- Introduction to the software
- Testing the questionnaire
- Carrying out live interviews
- and backing up the data.
MG Data Services can also offer a telephone help line to your field
force to assist with I.T. related queries they may have.

Research Report Proof Reading
As research reports form a crucial part of policy evaluation,
it is important to ensure that all facts and figures quoted in the final
report are correct. MG Data Services offer to comprehensively check
that all figures mentioned in text and charts can be backed up by statistics
from the relevant data source.
